Vienna, Austria Approximately 250 m² of natural Fossil Smoke shell limestone was needed for the complete facade of the cubic body of the villa “Home Silvester.” The expressive structure and texture of the natural stone were predominantly revealed through the shells of ancient mollusks. The standard sizes of the cladding slabs were a maximum of 1500x600 mm. They were installed vertically with the long side on the proprietary substructure of Jura Limestone. Fossil Smoke sawn – 250 m² The thickness of the slabs varied between 3 and 4 cm, as the architectural idea of the bureau PurPur Architektur was based on a facade of outstanding and recessed vertical stripes.
